Looking for the best solution for creating a sign

Hi all,
I want to create a sign to acknowledge all the donors who helped the Shelburne Craft School raise money for new windows at the clay studio. My desire is to print the list of donors on something that will adhere without adhesives to one of the 15” x 17” panes of glass. Ideally it would be on some kind of material that would be transparent or translucent, but still clearly show the names. Can anyone help me with how to go about creating this and what might be the best solution? I’d like to get this done as soon as possible. Thanks in advance!

adhere without adhesives? How do you imagine that on glass? I’d recommend Vinyl since that sounds like it could work, but It uses adhesive backing.

What is it about adhesives that you’re looking to avoid? If you’re worried about residue, it isn’t too hard to remove vinyl from glass cleanly, and there’s lots of tools to make it cleaner and easier, like a hairdryer used as a heat gun, plastic scrapers, and adhesive remover.

Alternatively, something like a sheet of static cling film could also work. They sell sheets of the stuff you can just put in a normal inkjet printer. The sheet itself would be transparent, with the ink names being opaque.

Hi Sydney,
I’m set to take the vinyl cutter training next week – I think that will get me where I want to go with this project.
Thanks for responding!
