We just found the table saw in the wood shop without the riving knife installed. As someone who has experienced table saw kickback, I can attest to the fact that it ain’t no joke. I think that we should all be careful to leave the table saw - and all tools - set up for normal use when we are done with them, and of course to pay attention to their set up before their use.
I don’t work in the Generator woodshop, but can attest to Dennis Woos’ respect of kickback. Kickback is extremely scary, extremely sudden, and extremely dangerous. If it ever happens because someone forgot to install the riving knife, someone is going to feel really horrible.
